Mission

Our Mission is to reach out to those living without hope in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.

                                                   Vision

We reach out with the love of Jesus Christ to those living on the streets; people that do not know that there is hope,  love and forgiveness in God's only Son, Jesus Christ.  We are here to tell them that there is hope and a future for each of us because of the sacrifice Christ made for us all.  We know that through the power of the Holy Spirit people can be released from addictions.

                                    Strategy

Manos Unidas en Cristo provides food and other essential items while we preach the Gospel to the many street people in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. We believe that we must first meet the needs of those we minister to before they can see the love of God and begin to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  We have a “soup kitchen” where they can come for a meal, to take a shower, wash their clothes and hear God’s word.  We also reach out to the many "orphans" at 2 orphanages, sharing God's love with each of them.

What We Believe

1.      We believe in the Bible as the inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God.

2.      We believe that there is but one true and living God, who is everlasting, infinite in power, full of love, wisdom and goodness; that He is the creator of all things, visible and invisible. We believe in the Trinity - that there are three persons of individual essence, who are co-equal, co-existent and co-eternal - namely the Father (Whose name has variously transliterated to English as Yahweh or Jehovah), the Son (Jesus Christ - God Incarnate) and the Holy Spirit (the Great Comforter).

3.      We believe man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam's transgression and fall sin came into the world. Romans 5:12 (NIV) Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned--

4.      We believe that Salvation is made possible through the death of Jesus Christ on the cross and his resurrection on the third day. Salvation is the gift of God to man, is separate from works and the Law and is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, with works being the fruit of that faith. We believe in water baptism which is a direct commandment of our Lord (Matt. 28:19) and is for believers only. This ordinance is a symbol of the Christian's identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection.

5.      We believe the ordinance of The Lord's Supper is a commandment of our Savior; and is a memorial to his death and resurrection. We believe in a literal Hell and a literal Heaven - Hell being a place of eternal punishment for those that have rejected Jesus Christ as Savior and Heaven being a place of eternal reward for the Christian.

6.      We believe in the imminent coming of our Lord and that this admonishes us to be watchful and to live holy lives. This belief motivates us to be urgent and zealous in evangelizing the unsaved.
